Our Ports are...
At the present time we operate through four Ports, being them:
- Coatzacoalcos (Pajaritos), Veracruz.
- Dos Bocas, Tabasco.
- Cayo Arcas, Campeche.
- Salina Cruz, Oaxaca.
The first three located in the Gulf of Mexico and the latter on the Pacific Ocean, having in each location fully operational offices and experienced personnel.

Port Facilities

The Commercial Port installations, known as "Recinto Fiscal Autorizado" (Authorized Fiscal Precinct), with one marginal berth with 9 different berthing positions, being one of them, specially designed to berth and operate barges for railcars. There are various private terminals for petrochemical products, molasses, sulfur, cement, grain, etc.
The port infrastructure in this area such as berths, patios, warehouses are owned and operated by the government through its agencies, except for some private terminals that operate under private contracts. All vessels and cargoes are subject to Port, Dockage, Wharfage and Storage Dues, with some exceptions to the private terminals.

The Industrial Port installations located in Pajaritos Lagoon, with the following private terminals:

Feature 1
Petroleos Mexicanos Pajaritos Terminal with 14 berths where tankers operate a great variety of petroleum and petrochemical products.

Feature 2
Agromex Pajaritos Terminal (Urea Plant) with one finger type berth.(Presently not operating)

Feature 3
Innophos, S.A. de C.V. Pajaritos Terminal (Fertilizers Plant) with one T type berth for phosrock and acids.

These installations operate privately using exclusively the Port’s Pilotage, towage and launches services. All their berths, plus its storage facilities, the loading and unloading equipment are owned by these companies and its operating and maintenance costs and expenses are absorbed by them. Also these companies are exempt of the Mexican government Dockage, Wharfage and Storage Dues since their installations are considered private, however, all vessels that operate in these terminals are subject to Port Dues. In addition, Agromex Terminal charges Terminal Usage Fees to those vessels that operate at its berths. These Fees are similar to the Government Dockage Dues.
The Port also provides the following services: Pilotage, Launches, Linemen, Water, Cleaning, Shipchandlers, Towage, Bunker Supply, Cargo Handling, among others.

(Petróleos Mexicanos Dos Bocas Port Facilities)
During the second part of the 1970’s Petroleos Mexicanos constructed this Port and has been in operation since the early 1980’s with two offshore buoys designed to handle tankers up to 250,000 S.D.W.. The storage in this Port reaches about 10,000,000 barrels for crudes exclusively.

Feature 1
This Port, together with Cayo Arcas, are "the Crude Oil Ports in the Gulf", becoming Coatzacoalcos as the alternate Crude Oil Port, in case of emergencies.

This Port also has a inner harbour basin which is used as the Supply Port for the offshore crude production fields located in the Bay of Campeche.

No Bunkering is available in this Port.

Emergency and minor repairs are available only.

Port Facilities
(Petróleos Mexicanos Cayo Arcas Port Facilities)
Petróleos Mexicanos Heavy Crude Oil called Maya is produced totally in its offshore oil fields located in the Bay of Campeche.
Part of this Crude Oil is pumped to Pemex offshore loading facilities located nearby the Cayo Arcas Keys about 90 miles north of Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, which is the city and port where Pemex, the Port Authorities, the Cargo Inspectors and the Agents maintain their headquarters. Daily helicopters flights are provided from and to Ciudad del Carmen and the Port Installations.
The types of offshore loading facilities are:

Two S.P.M. buoys located in above Cayo Arcas Keys.

One fixed-arm loading facility also located in the Cayo Arcas Keys.

Feature 3
One FSO Unit named Ta’Kuntah with two loading positions, one side by side and one by tandem, located nearby the above Keys and about 60 miles North / Northwest of Ciudad del Carmen.

Petroleos Mexicanos Inner Harbour Facilities
Pemex maintains at the Inner Harbour three marginal berths and one "T" type berth handling petroleum products, such as Diesel Oil, Mogas, Jet Fuel, Bunkers and Ammonia.

Feature 1
For the past several years Petroleos Mexicanos has been constructing a new Industrial Port which will be located outside the present Inner Harbour Facilities, west of the present Port entrance.

This new Industrial Port will be protected by two stone and concrete jetties of 1,500 mts. long (the East jetty) and 780 mts. long (the West jetty) built transversal to the shore line. We understand that, at the present, the completion of the West Jetty has been postponed.

Feature 3
Presently, one finger type berth for vessels up to 60,000 S.D.W. has been completed and is ready to operate. This berth will be able to handle various products, such as Fuel Oil LPG Mixes, Ammonia, Gasolines, etc. The draft is expected to be between 36 to 38 ft. saltwater. We understand that this berth will operate until above West Jetty is completed.

Meantime, on 1996 Petroleos Mexicanos installed in this new Industrial Port a loading position for gas tankers handling Heavy Fuel Oil and Diesel Oil which will operate with four conventional mooring buoys where up to 60,000 SDW tankers are moored.
Petroleos Mexicanos Offshore Buoys
There are three offshore buoys operating west of Salina Cruz. Two of these buoys operate small tankers up to 60,000 SWD and are utilized for domestic traffic principally Diesel Oil and gasoline. The third buoy was designed to handle vessels up to 275,000 SWD and operates exclusively Crude Oil for export market.
Recinto Fiscal Berths
Berths One, Two and Three are used for general cargo purposes, for discharge of grain in bulk and bagged.
The containers berth operates with one porta containers, one shore crane, three transcontainers, eight tractors and sixteen platforms and its patio is capable of handling about 5,000 containers.
